Dermaplaning in Shrewsbury is a medical-grade treatment that softens your skin by safely removing dead skin cells and unwanted vellus hair (also known as “peach fuzz”) without using any harsh abrasives.
Recovery and Results
There is no downtime involved with dermaplaning, but some patients will have some facial redness for the remainder of the day. It’s best to avoid wearing makeup during this time. Be very careful when washing your face, only using your hands for about two days. Although you should always wear sunscreen outdoors no matter what, it’s especially important to use sunscreen on the treated area anytime you go outside for the next few weeks following a dermaplaning treatment. Even though you’ll notice results after just one dermaplaning treatment, we recommend dermaplaning every 2-4 weeks for the best results.
We advise holding off on using any peeling agents, retinol, and exfoliants 3 nights prior to your treatment.
